If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive digital camera, the Nikon Coolpix S220 may fit the bill. This is one of the smallest and lightest digital cameras around. It 's only 18 millimeters wide and weighs 100 grams without batteries and memory card. The Nikon Coolpix S220 is a camera with a fairly standard design is produced. There was a rectangular shape with one side of a gentle curve. The edges are easy on the camera seemed more well rounded square stop. There is nowThe camera is typical in a number of different colors. These are the plums, silver hot water, green, smooth, yellow, cobalt blue and black. Pretty choice!

For me, one of the main attractions is the ease of use. It 'just say that at least in part why Nikon has been on features of the Coolpix S220. To say there is certainly less features than the models of similar size from Panasonic and Canon. I like the design of the menu system. It 'easy to findControl that you seek. The menu is plain text. This helps to easily read. If you prefer, you can move an icon based menu screen.

Zoom is controlled by a ring on top of the camera. On the back of the camera has buttons to find a way to record, playback of photos you've taken, self timer, macro mode, deleting photos control, exposure and access to the menu.

Other standard features include 10 megapixels and a 3x optical zoom. This is very megapixels for prints, or great for photos before cropping lower pressures. The LCD screen is 2.5 inches. There are a record number and you also have access to a range of color options to make your photos look a bit 'different. These are vivid, black and white, sepia, pastel and cyanotype.

The image quality is suitable for most snapshots. Not surprisingly, with a small lens, the camera is better when the topic is quiteFinally, as for portraits. Distant scenes type of landscape tend to bring the camera to its limits. Although these problems are probably only a problem if you plan to order prints of your photos.

This is not the best camera in your pocket when it comes to sharpness, but the price that takes into account the image quality is right. Speaking of prices This is one of the cameras in less small, especially for one of these thin and light.

Electronic image stabilizationavailable. This is an important difference between the electronic and mechanical image stabilization. Rating electronic image stabilization function adjusts ISO and shutter speed. This can lead to increased noise levels in a photo. Machining image stabilization have no impact on image quality in this way by a small compensating movements in the lens mechanism, or by moving the sensor in the camera. Nikon has no mechanical image stabilization with the budgetCoolpix S220.

Motion detection is also available. This works similarly to electronic image stabilization. It allows the camera to detect moving objects and motion freeze. You must be aware that during the motion detection can be useful, it can also come to lead to a reduction in image quality.

Other models may also consider are the Panasonic Lumix DMC FS6, FS7 Panasonic Lumix DMC and the Olympus FE-5000. These all have similar price tags on the Nikon Coolpix S220. InOf the total value for money considering the price, picture quality and features I would suggest you look closely at the Panasonic Lumix DMC FS6.
